CTET is the mandatory eligibility test for teaching at KVS, NVS, Army Public Schools and thousands of central government-aided schools across India. Certificate is lifetime valid. 25–30 lakh candidates appear per cycle, making it one of India's largest competitive exams.
Eligibility Criteria:
Paper I (Class I–V): 12th + 2-yr D.El.Ed OR B.El.Ed. Paper II (Class VI–VIII): Graduation + B.Ed/D.El.Ed.

CDP (Child Development & Pedagogy) carries 30 marks — highest-weightage single section. Master it.
Pedagogy questions appear in language, maths and EVS sections too — not just CDP.
CTET certificate is lifetime valid since 2021 — one attempt is enough if you score well.
Language I & II: one must be Hindi or English. Choose your strongest language.
NCERT textbooks (Class I to VIII) are the primary source for subject content.
Previous CTET papers: ~40% questions are directly repeated. Solve all past papers.
